It’s purple, it’s fizzy and it’s fermented in the bottle, using the so called ‘traditional method’ of sparkling wine making… the CO2 generated by the fermentation cannot escape in a sealed bottle so it dissolves into the wine, creating fine, intense bubbles. Then there’s the intense colour – which comes from Shiraz’s thick skins – and the super concentrated flavours of black fruitiness and black pepper flavours (Shiraz contains eugenol – the same compound found in black pepper, hence the flavour).
This wine is bone dry, fresh and yeasty – complex, full bodied, red bubbly, which tastes like the ultimate winter red. Forget mulled wine, try this.
