The 2002 Bollinger RD - talk about a top wine, which was in absolutely pristine condition and had enormous body and weight, but crystalline purity and freshness - thank you to the lovely woman at my table at the grand dinner at this year's Central Otago Pinot Noir Celebration; who brought the wine to share. Many other wines were good that evening, many were disappointing but nothing came close to the surprising depth, complexity and wow-factor of that bubbly.
Yes, this is definitely what a girl wants. This girl anyway.
