Round the world in your wine glass

Have you dreamed of travelling to wine regions in France, Germany, Italy and South Africa? The world’s your oyster here; choose a wish-list destination off the top of your head – or ask us to recommend a bunch and you pick the most interesting…

Wellington Wine Country

Martinborough and the Wairarapa produce 2% of New Zealand’s wine but grow 3% of the country’s vines– discover why quality here is high, despite the miniscule production… and taste top wines.

Pick a vineyard: From Central Otago to Portugal

You choose the place; we describe its geography, climate, weather, soil types and how they effect the grapes grown here and take you on a taste journey. The choices are endless. We suggest: Martinborough, Central Otago, Hawke’s Bay, North Canterbury, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Germany, Puglia, Sicily, South Australia, the Rhone Valley, Tuscany and Portugal, to name a few.

Wine Options: New Zealand Sauvignon or French Sancerre?

Test your mettle against colleagues to see whose palates (and minds) are sharpest; we give you the wines and the optional answers; you play the game – to win. Options are usually played in teams of 4 but we’re flexible… tell us how many people you have and we’ll tailor the game to suit all numbers, experience levels and knowledge – the name of this game is fun.

New wave Kiwi wines

From Cambridge Road in Martinborough to Mt Edward in Central Otago, Kiwi winemakers are making tasty ripples in the new wave of ‘natural’ and orange wines – learn why they are ditching commercial yeasts, lowering sulphur dioxide and letting grapes speak volumes in the glass.

Med’ Reds: Best Buys Under $20

The Mediterranean is home to many of the best value red wines in the world; Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre (‘GSM’); add Nero d’Avola and Spanish Garnacha… taste outstanding under $20 wines.

Great whites

Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Riesling, Verdicchio… taste the crème de la crème of great whites.

Fee: Price on application. Contact us to discuss your needs; team size and tasting choice.
