Top ‘wild’ drop under $20

2016 Stoneleigh Wild Valley Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc $17.29

It’s the wild yeast fermentation, the big old oak barrels and the creative winemaking of Jamie Marfell that make this wine the dry, complex, full bodied taste sensation that’s intermingled here with flavours of freshly picked green herbs, crunchy Granny Smith apples and a hint of creaminess – and at this price it’s stellar value for money and is one of the best value Sauvignon Blancs under $20 on shop shelves today – and one of my favourites. A great Christmas Day white to drink with fresh summer salads.
